Discharge Inks

Discharge screen printing is the best way to produce the softest brightest colors on dark fabrics. Discharge printing has advanced since the early days and is easier than ever to add to your shop and skill set.

Discharge ink removes the color dye from the printed surface during the curing process. This leaves behind the natural color of the fabric. Water based inks or plastisol inks can be easily printed on a discharge clear underbase. You can also add water based pigments to the discharge clear and print discharge colors in one easy step!

Wet - On - Wet Printing
The advantage to discharge printing is the resulting soft hand on dark garments. You can easily achieve soft, bright prints on darks without flashing! Perfect for high fashion tees like American Apparel™.

The discharge binders below are the base (or main part) or the ink. They are then mixed with discharge agent (aka. Paralite) to activate the discharge process in the ink.
